Happy Friday!

We're heading out of town today for my daughter's volleyball tournament and will be back tomorrow—just in time to host our small group and celebrate baptism at church this weekend.

It’s a full but exciting few days ahead! Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

Grace & Peace,

Amber

On the Blog

What does it mean to be a person after God’s own heart?

King David was described this way, yet his life was far from perfect. What made him stand out? In my latest article, I explore this question and share lessons from Scripture and life about aligning our hearts with God’s.💜

The local church is beautiful, but it’s also broken. Many of us carry wounds, face disappointments, or feel unseen. Yet, even in the mess, God’s grace is at work.

I’m honored to have contributed to a new book that explores the struggles and blessings of the church, reminding us of the goodness that still shines through.

This project, born from a Gospel-Centered Discipleship blog series, highlights the treasure of the local church when she reflects Christ as she ought to.

I hope you find something that sparks your interest! 📚💛

In Articles

There might be a lot of things we'd change, Tim shares one I wouldn't have thought of but really appreciate!

The Mirrors in Our Hands | Denise Hughes

What if we let go of the mirrors in our hands to spend more time looking at words of the true, living God and who he shows us who we really are?

Pulling Up Weeds | Allison Brost (GCD)

"We start out expectant for growth and excited to experience all the good things God has planned. We have hopes and dreams for how fruitful our lives should now be looking—only to find any growth seemingly choked out by the pressures of the world around us, and our thankfulness waning"

I love how creation provides spiritual metaphors. As Sarah describes how oak trees grow deeper roots through reactionary stress, I’m reminded of this truth in my own struggles with adversity.

Good, honest questions to reflect on in our marriages!
