My Mosaic (May 19)

Happy Friday!

"You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord! He is their help and shield." (Ps 115:11)

Whatever you've got going on for you today, here's your invitation to remember God is your help and your shield: He's your protector in the face of opposition, your refuge when you're in over your head, your strength when you feel weak, and your salvation because you surely can't rescue yourself.

Draw near because He's nearer than you think and find rest for your weariness and courage for the tasks He's calling you to today.

Have a blessed weekend.

Join the Writers Bloc!

I was blessed this week to teach on faithful living as Christian creatives. No, I'm not an expert, I'm most definitely a total work in progress by the grace of God and living all of our lives unto Him.

The membership doors are now OPEN at the Writers Bloc, a writing community focused on building the art and heart of writing for the glory of God and the good of others. So click HERE for more info and to join!

This Week in Articles

My friend Martha is writing a series on saying goodbye as we age. In this post she reflects on how involvement in church changes.

If you're a writer, you know what it's like to get a piece back covered with highlights and comments, though painful, beauty and increased value are a result. Just like our sanctification.

As we think about what Jesus meant when he talked about denying ourselves, Kyleigh shares, "most of the time when I think about self-denial, I focus on what will make my life better for me" and leads us to the fixing our gaze on Him instead.
